Bruce Willis

Bruce Willis, an actor and musician, is well-known for playing hard-edged characters or funny characters in action films. He has been featured in films that have grossed more than $2.5 billion USD. Walter Bruce Willis, a West German actor, was born in Idar–Obersteinin West Germany on March 19 1955, to Marlene Kassel (from Carneys Point), and David Andrew Willis (from New Jersey) who resided at a military base in the United States. His family moved to the U.S. shortly after he was born. He was raised in Penns Grove, New Jersey where his mother was employed at a bank and his father was a welding and factory worker. Willis began to take an interest in the dramatic arts while in high school. He was "discovered" while working in a New York City cafe. Later, he appeared in several off-Broadway productions. While bartending one night it was discovered that he was spotted by an acting director who liked his character and was looking for bartenders for a minor film role. Willis tried out for a variety of roles in films, however, he was not given credit. He finally got the role of David Addison, a private eye, alongside Cybill Shepherd in the romantic comedy show Moonlighting (1985). His humorous and wisecracking P.I. Some see it as a practice run to practice for Willis as McClane in Die Hard (1988), in which he was the sole defender of an international gang of thieves from the Los Angeles skyscraper. In Die Hard 2 (1990) Willis reprised his role. The group of rebellious Special Forces soldiers is trying to return a corrupt South American general. They are located in Washington's Dulles International Airport. The film's outstanding box office results prompted an sequel to Die Hard with the same vengeance (1995). This time, Samuel L. Jackson starred as a cynical Harlem shop owner, who was not aware of the fact that he was required to help McClane during a terrorist attack on a scorching New York City day.
