The forceps-related injury that led to the famous "droopy" face is the reason for his birth. It also led the loss of the nerve that left his in a state of utter silence. Stallone was an anxious child. The hostility of his parents that eventually resulted in the divorce of their parents, caused negative consequences for both him and Frank. Stallone was placed in foster care during a portion of his childhood. Stallone lived for a long time in Maryland and was living with his father from 1957, when the couple divorced. Stallone had a difficult childhood in both his academic and emotional aspects.
