Transgender - Is The Voice's Sasha Allen a girl?

Sasha became transgender in the early years of her high school years. Sasha was faced with some challenges however, she knew that her family was there to support him, and believed that music would assist. Jim and Sasha have been writing together for a while and recently became an official couple. They've performed in local open mics as well as other venues. The Voice's coaches resisted talking about Sasha's past, however Jim told his through an intro video prior to the show. Sasha and Jim discussed the music they love, including how he first began playing guitar at the age of six. Sasha was able to master the music form more easily because his father is also a teacher. Sasha faced identity issues as a boy, even though he is a woman. In an Instagram post she spoke about his struggles. Jim was overcome with tears in his post as he revealed the reasons he could not be the victim of this difficult time. Sasha Allen's birth occurred as a woman.
